the symbols used in this animation works pretty well starting by the intro i loved it. and then the use of yellow and the fire works against the black background. the time being used here is really fast when one shapes is finishing the other 1 is already coming in movement so the action keeps going and going. the sound i guess it could be better than that in my opinion is kind of boring. the meaning is that theres one god and theres fighting for the ” 1st place ” in other words to be the best . theres killing and when a ” hand ” comes out i guess it means power which only one god has. very creative.the space being used on the screen i think it works because i like when things come out in 3D looking . text , shapes , characters moving all along so in this case it works pretty well.
Jeremy Cox
- Who did you choose this person and why?
i chose jeremy cox because as seeing his work is very impressive i actually like the warner brothers logo animation. its just amazing.
2. How would you categorize their work? Does it fit into any of the Genres we outlined in the Week 06 notes?
his work is very creative and unique. i guess it kind of fits not really. but some of the things are the use of color.. creativity , to the point , balance and great animation.
it kind of relates to the notes but his work is just amazing from my point of view.
This is a great example of typography.
I really like this example because is playful , great colors. and well organized.
i like the background pattern it goes with the pink and blue.
well organized. you could real the most important things inthere. dont need to read everything.
right away you see the ” This is what boredom takes over.”
Sometimes color could be very different to choose. but theres always a good option. by selecting one color and going to the color palatte would help your ideas on choosing colors, like that you could end up with a great palatte and give a strong and simple look to your typography design. Using good spacing and perfectly sized margins is probably one of the most important aspects of printing and typography. Even the smallest space can affect how someone looks at the design. The whole point of what you are doing is the content, so spend some time on readability. Take a look at the kerning, the space between the individual letters, and the leading, the space between baselines of text. Leading and kerning are themost important aspect of the body text. If the leading is to large, it can be distracting because there is too much white space. Make the leading to small, and the reader will be strained trying to read the text. Colors and their contrast can sometimes be difficult. It’s one of those situations where it can look really good or not work at all. Like with kerning and leading, bad contrasts can make text unreadable. Finding the perfect balance for the body text is challenging; it needs to be strong enough to be visible, but not so strong that it becomes distracting. Contrast is yet another technique for defining headings and important objects. The level of contrast can help make an object pop, or make the object more subtle. Use a strong contrast for text such as headings that you want to be noticed immediately. While on the topic of coloring, I’ll mention the use of inverting colors to bring attention to text. For example, instead of using black text on white, use white text on black. What i learned from this article is that using a good spacing is really important on the aspect of printing and designing and sometimes a little kerning would make your design look different. If the leading of your text is too large it can end up being distracting.

5. Contrasts
i like this animation. specially the graphics/ illustrations. and how it starts by t.v showing some simplicity then it starts to show different colors. very urban.
i like the sound its perfect for this video and the pattern used for the background is really working with the other colors
i also like when the guy is painting the wall. it came out pretty good.
i love the movement of the graphics going all over the screen.
